Kind Hearts and Coronets

This rollicking comedy stars a young Alec Guinness as …well…practically everybody.  An impoverished young Louis Mazzini resents that his dying mother is actually heiress to a family fortune. When his suit of love is rejected because of his meager circumstances, he decides to act.  The only problem is there are eight relatives standing between him and his rightful inheritance.  One by one, Louis picks them off until he eventually marries the widow of one of his victims.  When his former girlfriend shows up, jealously ensues and things begin to unravel.  This film is remarkable on many levels besides Guinness playing a myriad of characters, the London-based Ealing studios did an incredible job filming around a decimated post-World War II London.  (Not Rated)
