Pokemon at the Library

In the rare moment that your eyes were not glued to a particularly riveting book, you probably noticed that Pokemon is a thing and that lots of people are playing it around here. For us, that means more people spending time in what is pretty much the coolest place onIMG_4617 earth. If you come to the library to play the game, we’re happy you’re here and we hope you’ll stick around to sign up for a library card, pick up a newsletter so you can read about some of our programs, or check out our awesome collection. We also started a Pokemon s13901537_10154448633868223_9145286586109095886_ncavenger hunt to help people explore and get to know the library a little better. Participants who find all eight hidden Pokemon in the library can return their sheet to the Children’s Desk for a cute little Pokemon button prize. The scavenger hunt has been popular, and we’ve already updated the sheet so all the critters are hiding in new spots. If you’re still wondering what all the fuss is about or are interested in reading more about libraries and Pokemon, check out this helpful blog post.
