For three nights over the next three months, the Orem Public Library will host the Utah Valley Earth Forum — an independent, environmental citizen organization — for three lecture/discussions on the theme of “Caring for Creation: Our Stewardship of the Water, the Land, and the Air.”
The first event will take place next week, Wednesday, September 21, from 7:00-8:00 pm in the Storytelling Wing. It will feature a brief presentation by Dr. Sam Rushforth, retired Dean of the UVU College of Science and Health, followed by audience discussion of the topic “Caring for the Water.” The focus will be Utah Lake and its watershed, the challenges they face, and what we (the public and our government) can do to be better stewards of this essential natural feature of Utah Valley.
Future presentation/discussions include:
• Caring for the Land — Wednesday, Oct. 19th
• Caring for the Air We Breathe — Wednesday, Nov 16th
We should all aspire to be good stewards of the Earth. Please join us for this very important series of educational events that significantly affect our health and the economic well-being of Utah Valley.
