Recurring Library Programs: CoderDojo

Did you know that there are several programs at the Orem Library that repeat every week or every month? For the next few weeks, we’ll be highlighting a few recurring library programs that take place regularly that you might not have heard about.

This week we’re featuring CoderDojo, a coding/gaming club that brings children and teens interested in learning computer coding and programming in contact with local experts. With the support of portable tablets, this weekly coding club provides a setting for youth to work independently on coding projects, play educational games, and receive guidance from volunteer mentors. CoderDojo helps youth improve their computer literacy and learn cooperation and collaboration through interaction with mentors, fellow coders, and new forms of technology.

Interested in becoming a coding ninja? Join us today at 4 pm in the Storytelling Wing!
