Staff Favorites: Christmas Cocktails

For many of us, the best Christmas music has a swinging jazz sound. The holiday season hasn’t really begun for me until I’ve heard either Nat King Cole or Bing Crosby and Frank Sinatra sing “The Christmas Song.” If you’d like a great compilation of Christmas standards, look no further than Christmas Cocktails. Featuring Peggy Lee’s “Winter Wonderland,” Dean Martin’s “I’ve Got My Love to Keep Me Warm,” Nancy Wilson’s “What are you Doing New Year’s Eve,” and, of course, that Nat King Cole rendition of “The Christmas Song,” it includes many Christmas classics. If volume one isn’t enough, we also have volume 2 and volume 3 here at Orem Library. As Marilee says, “It’s just so swanky. Even if you aren’t holding a martini in your hand while wearing a 50s cocktail dress and adorable bobbed haircut, you’ll kind of feel like you are.”
