Library Lovers’ Month

The month of love and romance is almost over, but the time to show your love for the library is always right now. Here are three ways you can proudly declare your library love:

1. Volunteer. If you have a passion for books and movies, a desire to serve and improve your community, and at least two hours a week to spare, come be a part of the exciting and magical place that is the Orem Library!

We are currently in need of volunteers to help us with our 2017 Summer Reading programs for children and teens. All volunteers must be at least 14 and able to volunteer at least two hours a week. Volunteers assist with helping patrons sign up for summer reading, distributing and stamping summer reading brochures, and handing out the prizes and coupons that come each week upon completion of summer reading goals. Morning, afternoon, and evening shifts are available. For more information on how you can become a summer reading volunteer, and all the perks that come with it, contact Marilee Clark at or 801-229-7247.

2. Come work for us. Who wants to work at the library? Everybody, that’s right. Well, you’re ALL IN LUCK, because we just happen to be looking for book-loving, curious, knowledgeable people with a knack for customer service to fill some part-time positions in our Children’s and Adult Reference areas. If that sounds like you, quick! This is the day your dreams come true.

3. Like and follow the Orem Library on social media. We’re on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter, and are always excited to connect with our library fans so we can serve them better. You can give the library a 5-star review on Facebook or tag us with pictures of you at library programs or using library resources. You never know whom you might inspire to try out and fall in love with the library next!
