Summer Reading Highlights

Summer reading is over! This year we celebrated the love of making by exploring the different branches of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Mathematics) with our children’s theme “Make it Work!” and our teen theme “Full STEAM Ahead.” Here are some highlights from our programs, which included two art carnivals (one for kids and one for teens); presentations and workshops on building origami, eclipse viewing boxes, and books; a steampunk-themed escape room for teens; a boat-building experiment with science teacher Mckenzie Macdonald; and a Make it or Break it-themed Libratory featuring a “Will it Blend?” presentation by Tom Dickson of Blendtec.
