I am Neil Armstrong by Brad Meltzer
This is a new children’s biography of the first man to set foot on the moon. Armstrong was fascinated with planes and flying when he was a small boy. Throughout his life, he worked hard, was patient, demonstrated humility, and, when faced with setbacks, he always tried to learn from any mistakes he or others may have made. By testing and failing and testing and failing again, Armstrong and NASA were able to engineer a spacecraft that eventually put him and fellow astronaut Buzz Aldrin on the moon. This book is part of Meltzer’s Ordinary People Change the World series. I greatly enjoyed it and would recommend to children and their parents.
