A Spooky Booky Halloween

It’s almost Halloween! Get into the spirit of the holiday with these terrifyingly fun library events.

October 24, Saturday
6:30 PM / Library Parking Lot
Parking Lot of Terror

You’re in for a scare, so come if you dare! Join us in the haunted library parking lot any time between 6:30 and 8:00 PM for a spooky, booky drive-through. All ages are invited and every car that makes it out alive will receive a bag of BOO-ks and treats while supplies last. For the best experience, read through the following instructions carefully before coming to the event.

Instructions for Parking Lot of Terror

  1. Enter the Parking Lot of Terror from the east side of 100 N rather than the west side (so the line to enter the parking lot will form backwards towards the All-Together Playground rather than State Street).
  2. Remain inside your car for the duration of the event.
  3. Several displays have interactive elements that will be marked with a “STOP! Honk If You Dare” sign. These interactive elements have been designed to be safe, socially distanced, and not too scary for younger kids. Please do not lean out of your car to touch the displays or any of the people in the parking lot.
  4. Tune in to 91.7 for a special Halloween broadcast of scary sounds, music, and poetry recorded by the Orem Public Library.
  5. Large trucks, SUVs, or vehicles with a roof rack may be too large to go through a few of the displays. No buses, oversized vehicles, or riding in open truck beds.
  6. If you wish, you may decorate your car to participate in our car costume contest. The winning car will be posted on the Orem Public Libary’s Facebook page after the event. Submit a picture of your decorated car here.
